Muppets Most Wanted

No catchy name here. I’m just here to tell you of the 2014 movie of the year. That’s right, we’re talking about Muppets Most Wanted. That’s right, yet another Muppets movie will be making it’s way into our hearts and souls as of the 21st of March, 2014. And I, for one, cannot wait.

Growing up watching The Muppet Show was great, but in recent years it has fallen kind of short. I don’t mean the show itself, but the fact that kids today has no idea who Fozzy Bear was, and only knew Kermit as he is- still- an international superstar/puppet. Then something big happened. Jason Segel, of How I Met Your Mother fame, decided he wanted to change the tides of the lost and lonely Muppet shores by bringing The Muppets to the silver screen once more. It was amazing seeing Kermit, Animal, Fozzy, and the rest of the gang get back together. It was cool seeing the backstory of what had happened and what had kept the Muppets from releasing new material. It was great! But what happens now? That movie had ended. Will the Muppets make it back to the silver screen?

The answer, of course, is yes. In 2014, Muppet fans new and old will get to rejoice once more as The Muppets Most Wanted hits theaters globally. This storyline “takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters across European destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.” -movieinsider.com

I know where I will be on March 21. Sitting in a nice, comfy theater chair, with a big bucket of popcorn and snowcaps watching a childhood favorite stay relevant as I age. So the big question is: “Where will you be when Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem come traveling through?”
